A photo can become a short video with sound in about a minute. Drawever’s Image to Video tool has two Drawever options: Draft, a quick preview that works with the free credits from a free account, and HD, the full-quality version that comes with any credit pack.
This guide explains the difference and how to use both without wasting credits.
Draft vs HD at a glance
| Draft | HD | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 5 seconds | 5 seconds |
| Resolution | 720p | 720p |
| Sound | Yes | Yes |
| Quality | Quick, lower-quality preview | Full quality |
| Credits | 5 | 10 |
| Free credits can pay for it | Yes | No, needs any credit pack |
Both run on the same Drawever video model. The Draft is a lighter pass, so motion and detail are rougher. Use it to check an idea: does the motion look right, does the scene work, is this the photo you want to animate?
How to make a video
- Open Image to Video, or press the Video button under any image you made on Drawever.
- Add your photo. A clear subject with room to move works best: a portrait, a pet, a product on a clean table.
- Describe what should happen. Keep it to one action: “she smiles and waves at the camera”, “the cat turns its head and blinks”, “slow zoom in, leaves falling”. You can also write a short line for a character to say.
- Pick Drawever Draft or Drawever HD in the model menu, then generate.
If you have never bought credits, the model menu starts on Draft, so you can try video straight away with your free credits.
A workflow that saves credits
Video costs more than an image, so test cheaply first:
- Make the image first. Create your picture with Photo to Anime or Text to Image (1 credit each), and fix details with Edit before you animate it.
- Draft the motion. Try two or three short descriptions as Drafts (5 credits each) and keep the one that moves the way you want.
- Make the keeper in HD. Run the same image and description in HD (10 credits) for the version you post.
What to write in the description
- One clear action works better than a list of events. Five seconds is short.
- Say who moves and how. “The woman on the left laughs” beats “people laughing”.
- Camera moves are fine. “Slow push in” or “the camera circles the product” bring product shots to life.
- Keep dialogue short. One sentence fits in five seconds.
Other video models
Besides Draft and HD, the model menu offers Grok (18 credits), MiniMax H3 (28 credits at 768p, 46 at 2K) and Wan 2.7 R2V (35 credits). The menu shows each price before you generate. Like HD, they need a credit pack.
Pricing
- Draft: 5 credits. Works with the free credits from a free account.
- HD: 10 credits, with any credit pack.
- Packs: your first purchase can be 75 credits for $5. After that, a $10 pack (175 credits) covers 17 HD videos or 35 Drafts. Credits never expire, and there is no subscription.
Try it
Make an anime portrait with Photo to Anime, press Video under the result, and start with a Draft. If you like the motion, make it in HD.
